With the creation of the 09/63, SeaVees celebrates the founding of
Pantone, and the release of the first PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM in
September 1963. For the first time in their 45 year history, Pantone
has allowed an external design team into their hallowed archives.
SeaVees has selected seven vintage colors from the original Pantone
color guide. The palette, chosen from the only authentic guide known to
exist, epitomizes the cool, casual style of California in 1963. The
series production has been restricted to 1,963 pairs.

On our side of the pond, the name Gloverall might not mean much, but in
England, it's as good as sterling. Or at least as good as Burberry.
Both brands share the distinction of having invented an iconic piece of
outerwear with worldwide influence. In Gloverall's case, it's the
duffel coat, originally produced for the British military, and sold to
the public (in England at least) since the fifties. For Fall '09, the
granddaddy of all duffels will be available in the States for the first
time, including this straightforward melton wool toggle coat with patch
pockets. (No word yet on availability, as wholesale for fall is
ongoing.) For now, the brand is introducing itself with its classic
designs, but based on the example of other British stalwarts like
Barbour and, yes, Burberry, we expect some interesting variations will
soon follow.

I randomly came across a website that lists all the gear Kraftwerk has used over the years for album cuts and tours. Pretty neat if you're a gearhead like me. Check it out...
On the 1974 album Autobahn, Kraftwerk used:
- Moog Minimoog
- ARP (white-faced) Odyssey
- customized Farfisa Rhythm Unit 10
- Vox Percussion King
- Farfisa Professional Piano
- EMS Synthi-A
- Schulte Compact Phasing A
- Mutron Biphase
- other outboard equipment in Conny Plank's studio

This is pretty much exactly what I was hoping would come out. You see, when I'm stuck in an airport, or on the train or in a hotel for long periods of time, I need to make beats. Now, there's a way to use the laptop keyboard to play notes, but it's totally rubbish. i've been looking at midi controllers but they are always super bulky and would not fit in my serato bag. And it was frustrating cause theres no need for that added bulk. just put some keys on a thing and bam, hook me up. Well Korg is coming thru. As you can see they are the same width as a macbook so it should fit in my bag no probs!!!
WANT.

So the video contest is going great! We've had about 1400 votes since Friday and I love how many opinions we have gotten on the site. Yall seem to really care what happens and that warms up my little heart. The contest will run until July 1st. The reason for this is to allow time for votes to come in from all over the place... It's also going to time well because our 12" is going to drop about a week and a half later.
Man I had a great weekend in MTL. Friday night I DJed at this b-day party for a friend of a friend. It was all models and fashionistas. Beautiful people. You know, nobody understands how hard it is to be really really ridiculously good looking. GASOLINE FIGHT! Also, Mitsous sister was there. She is very nice and dances like nobodies business. She was almost crushed by a chair that was hanging from the ceiling. We all had quite a scare. Saturday was spent on many terrasses of St-Lo as the street was closed for Grand Prix. There was a BBQ on the roof of Tokyo which had some tasty ass burgers. Ran into a million people... Mana was on acid. Have you ever seen a Burger on ACID? It's like the burger is talking to you!!!! It seems like everyone was out that day. And man, it was hot as shit! I always forget how exhausting it is to live in that neighborhood cause there's always booze involved!!! Sunday I DJed at Blue Dog with the homey Grand Theft and Brendon Duvall. Highlight of that night was GT playing all 80s new wave and freestyle (except the fact that I had planned to do just that, fucking bastard!) and me faceplanting off the DJ booth onto the concrete floor. I gave myself an 8 out of 10. I would have had more points but no one saw me do it and so I just had to scrape myself off the floor and hobble off to the bathroom to check for broken bones. When I got back to the DJ booth I told GT what happened and he was like 'Are you OK?' and I was like 'I NEED BOOZE STAT'. So he got me some shots and I proceeded to DJ in sheer agony. I bet people thought I just have one of those intense DJ steez. They are wrong, I was hurtbag. Also, every single night was topped off with Poutine or cheeseburgers. I gained about 40 pounds.
I fucking hate FAt Boy sLim but this video rulez.
I finally stayed up till 5am making a new episode! Go grab it, im going to bed!!!!

NEED.
The KORG DS-10 is a music-creation software for the
Nintendo DS that combines the superior interface of the Nintendo DS and
the design concept of the famous MS-10 synthesizer.
The sound
sources in the KORG DS-10 come from KORG - one of the world's top
musical instrument producers - and no effort was spared in creating
these ultra-high-quality sounds. The Nintendo DS's dual-screen touch
panel is used to the fullest to provide a feel and operability that is
unsurpassed, and combined with the sensory input mode at the
touch-control screen, this unit can be appreciated by the complete
novice as well as the seasoned professional.
In addition to the
two analog synth simulators and drum module, a 6-track/16-step
sequencer enables precise control and provides a wide range of musical
possibilities. Several units can be connected and played together
through a wireless link, and this and other features make the Nintendo
DS and KORG DS-10 almost limitless in their application - they can take
you places that no single synthesizer can.
