If you read the opening page update you know we just got back from a retarded / semi suicidal tour. If jettlag means by the time you finally get home  on tuesday you dont know what day or time it is ..so you decide to go out, get drunks with friends to celebrate your return , and then all of a sudden its saturday and you have a new haircut , then yes i am most certainly jetltlagged.

Me and the G-man have a crazy schedual a head of us and im so looking forward to it, but it doesnt mean i wont cry in the shower once it actually starts. Im off to do Kimmel with MSTRKRFT and NORE monday evening then after a much deserved trip to the beach, me and my lady manager are off to Austin for SXSW. This is where the fun really begins. Plenty of hot muscians , great music and free beer & BBQ--- can you say SPRING BREAK!  As former leader of Team SPRING BREAK , i just want to say if youve never been , this is pretty much the year you want to be there.

We get to play the Perez Hilton party.. which means well.. im not sure what it means just yet -- but me and Mr Polaroid and Mrs Holga will be behind every closed door..and you can beleeeed dat!

Its been a 2 years since we were last there and all i remember was a band break up, a dj sleeping in our bathtub, countless writebands and me uber fanning Ghost face. I think i actually scared him, given the fact that when he saw me in the crowd -- he halfed smiled and then dissapeared.

Now we all dam well know its no where near spring for those of us living on the east coast, but i decided to get a head start on cleaning my apartment. To be honest, with the last few months of touring i've barely seen my place and it started to look like my college boyfriends frat house. Suitcases half packed, flyers, more flyers, more clothes... god did i really need those 2 new pairs of boots! Not to mention my office/studio was still not fully unpacked - ive been living here since august!


Ive been putting it off for ever now. Boys and Girls i can now say its bloody done!  Now i know what your thinking ..is she really blogging about cleaning her apartment, lame! 
I say to that .. hold on i have a point ..i swear.



After the 3 espressos started leaving my body through my pores i started to realize this had been the high light to my week and i was ok with that.  Well minus the epic out door show at Nathen Phillip square...if you didnt come , well, you  missed grahm jittin and turning red when his mother got on stage. EPIC!
I find latley when we are not on the road all i want to do is just stay home watch movies and cook with my roommate...does that make me lame? For god sakes i party for a living ..lol

Well you know maybe im making myself out to be a bit of a spinster. In actuallity its about -5c almost every day and winter is not sexy no matter how expensive your coat is. After talking to a few of my friends i realized i wasnt alone. Winter zapps the sexy right out of your life! Winter time calls for break ups, and buckets of ice cream for those who wernt able to score a winter romance during the last oportunities of the fall. Come on dont pretend you dont see it. The reason for it is simple, its to cold to go looking for one night stands. In the winter most people decide to hybernate with a significant other , but come summer time you both dont want to look at each others winter fur and part ways just to do it all over again.

It doesnt end there... after winter has claimed most of the decent good looking people the ones who are left are spread so thin. You end up at parties where most of the people there are there with their significant other. Which brings me to this whole valentines day crap...its a load of bullocks!

The corporations know about this phenomenon...but still choose to rub it in our faces and make us pay for it.

And you know what else grinds my gears....!

ok...ive officially started ranting.

Anyway.. all im saying is winter blows. Im glad my apartment is clean and if you do manage to fight the winter blues take an extra shot of tequila for me.

Hello boys and girls.

I know for those of you who subscribe to my blog you probably think i suck ...lol well you will all be pleased to know if been seriously busy. Since we signed to BIG DADA things have gone into high gear. We finally have our full length album coming out we've been doing a lot of press and it feels like im on a plane every weekend.

TAKE THAT ETOBICOKE SCHOOL OF THE ARTS!  BOOYAH!  lol

but yeah thats why i havnt been able to keep on top of this blog thing .  it feels like so many things are hppening at once by the same you get a chanvece to sit back and take it in..your starting another adventure. Ha listen to me.. i sound like one of those disney characters.

On a semi related note. Have you seen the new biggie movie? I bootlegged it ...yes im admitting it!  what ...say something!
Anyhoo... im sorry this may come as a surprise to some of you but i would consider myself i pretty well informed hiphopaterian. And frankly i thougt the movie was garbage. The only moments of excitement i found were watching the girl playing lil kim pretend she could rap. What i really want to see is Lil Kims comeback autobigraphy that im sure she will put out when she gets out of Alcatraz.

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that everyone in that movie didnt look a day over 19... it was some serious twilightzone ish....

I digress....

I finally got a poloroid camera thanks to my lovley pal Carolyn in the bay area! woop! so ive decided it might be best for us to take it slow. If we are going to get back togetheri rather not rush into things. Man the evening of Nov 4th was a great one indeed, not just for my self or my race but for millions of ordinary people!
Who would have thought that i would be alive in a time when such a level of unity is possible. Obviously a large majority of this is indebted to the genius of online social networks such as myspace and Facebook, still there was also a hint of some other machine at work. Something about Obama made all of us agree on something. From the wall steet anylist  to the back water senior in some forgotten southen town. Not to mention even us canadian had a special intrest in this years election. You werent hearing the same air of disgust and blatent lack of trust in the american people as teh years before. Most canadians sorry to say.. figured americans were dumb enough to vote bush in the second time.. then they sure dam well were  dumb enogh to vote in Mc Cain.



In the end you guys were not only Smart , but rightious, involved , and resourcfull.  i am very proud to be the country on top of yours!

LONG LIVE OBAMA!!!  and True DEMOCRACY!

In the last 3 weeks I’ve managed to cure world hunger, save the Americans from another great depression and “ass grab” Sir Richard Branson.  Now call me old fashion but im most proud of the ass grab. I saw an opportunity and I took it. That’s what real leaders do, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Now I know what it looks like in the picture but while he was going in for the boob grab I quickly responded with the silent and hidden ass grab. Now me and Richard share something that only this picture can prove… oh sweet bliss!


But on another not nearly as awesome note… There’s lots of exciting things happening with TH right now. Our song Jerk It scored a sweet spot in a scene in The Wrestler, we played V-fest, I got to hang out with the guys from MGMT (well I guess that has nothing to do with TH , but remember this is my side of the shared blog room –so deal ).

It was actually a crazy evening. The night before we (MGMT also played the same day) played V-fest we ran into each other at this Holt Renfrew party. I was up front row and center and the show was awesome. I also got to meet the D-Squared designers and Jeanne Becker (who I may or may not have drunkenly and mistakenly called Julie eek!) .

I spoke to all of them and expressed how much in the last few months ive really started to fall in love with fashion. I used to be a tom boy so this pencil skirt thing is quite exciting!

I think it also helps that one of my favorite Candid fashion photographers is also a babe.
Im sure you’ve heard of the blog (http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/). He reminds you that fashion is actually tangible – like everyday people can be run way models you just have to be fierce. Which I learned from Tyra!

Then again everyday people aren't insanely gorgeous 6 foot French or Scandinavian girls. I guess living in Milan automatically makes you awesome! I think everyone should take a page out his well manicured book. Don’t be afraid to wear the pumps mid day… why not- unless you work in construction or you’re kindergarten teacher

In that case maybe the stilettos, and gator dress are a no no.

You know, you always hear people saying it. "Hope is a powerfull thing".  Its what keeps the mother going to church after her son was blown up somewhere in the middle of some open field, for what she still isnt sure.
Man. This is crazy. Im sure im not the only person of african decent that deep down inside thought this was never going to get this far. Deep down you thought this was going to be one of those movie moments where the guy gets the girl but then gets killed trying to save the girl or vis-versa.

Not only because Obama was black but because everything he stood for was the complete opposite of what it was we have become to accept as the norm including his political platform.

The idea of a black president is no different then the idea of a female president - these were things that only happened in those futuristic movies or that one episode of Voyager when Tom Peris revisits earth in 2019.

I was talking about this with someone last night who happens to be a duel citizen. He compared the last 8 political years to what it must have felt like when hitler just started taking over. It seemed for a moment there, we were all doomed and that one of these days the crazy old guy was going to fall asleep on the red button and it would be nothing like the end of "Dr Strangelove" -- no one would be left to ride the huge nucular missile and waving his arms like a 10 year old on there first merry-go-round.

In the past 8 years we have managed to see an attack on american soil (pearl harbour) and an endless war that for a moment there i thought was going to lead to some crazy arm wrestle death cage match with just bush and the new guy whos in charge... or there isnt one guy ?  I thought.. oh they caught that guy.. in a hole.. ? wtf!   then what are we still doing there?!


Anyway.. long story short .. We are all apart of something huge here. This will be one of those moments when each person can look back to an exact moment and share a detailed account of what they were doing , who they were doing and who was that years next top model.

I woke up this morning to an open facebook home page .. and the first thing i noticed was "Fade into you " - Mazzy Star

the 90's are a bit of a blur but that song was one of them that i did remember from the cruel intentions sound track. Come on , dont act like you didnt LOVE THAT MOVIE.
In my semi awake still very hung over haze -- i started thinking


Do opposites really attract?  I recently just got back in the dating pool - so much has changed
like when you ask a guy out, do you still expect him to pick up the tab?  And what are facebook lurking rules for the guy you met the night before?  These are questions that some one should answer , preferably in a condense 20 page manual.

Im no where near qualified to give any type of relationship advice --

but i will say this. I dont agree with this idea that  "opposites attract". It leaves you with this promise that after you attract you will actually stay attracted, which i find is never really the case.

I think we all secretly have this need to find our reflection, someone who makes us not feel so crazy after all. Regardless of how narcissistic that may sound- its the dame truth!  and if i need to be a pre-maddona to say it

then your dam right i want only green skittles and a completely red room with imported zebra covers from the jungles of Congo or somewhere near it.


But who am i kidding - nothing is ever that black and white. Sometimes your reflection is the last thing you want to see, so i guess dating your complete opposite is the equivalent to never turning on the bathroom lights when you are brushing your teeth -- for the fear that you may at some point accidentally see yourself.


Hey these are just thoughts... i have this unwritten obligation to update my blog .. and if im going to be consistent then be expecting random morning thoughts

There's a lot of people who dont give what they call "underground" hip hop its true dues.

And by true i mean...  ill be frank you with .. most back packer underground too many syllables and misplaced metaphors are over done, beats are outdated and im just tired of it all. Im more tired of the bitter jerks that ask me ridiculous questions like "so when are you going to start rapping again..like you know real rap"?  It takes everything in me to not reply with "when are you going to actually put out a song people outside of your 3 block home town radius are actually going to buy..when are you going to stop working at kinkos with a degree you cant do jack shit with and making what you think "dilla" would make sounding beats, in your parents basement?

OK ok ... im going to stop there

The point is .. there is a lots of great music out there.  The problem is when you dont rap about mainly bling , hoes , drugs and how much more you daddy could kick my daddys ass-- you tend to get stuck in the "underground / conscious" hip hop category

(unless you make some secret pact with the illuminati like Common and GET PAID!!! 5 or 6 or 10 albums later)


Now let this be a lesson to all you guys / gals who love hip hop and want to make music that isn't as close to the norm as most people would like.

So looks like my on going battle with ADD has yet to end. But know this my passionate blog readers .. i will not forsake you- i will try to be as consistent as isisedly possible.


First i want to say thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes and showed up to several of my birthday parties... even the ones i didnt show up to. Due to the amount of obvious alcohol consumption, that im sure my liver is still processing -- i dont have many pictures to show for this awesome weekend i "allegedly" had.

But im sure there are plenty of photos on facebook that i am waiting to untag myself from.

So yea .. the big 30!

lol yea who am i kidding. Im still considered a teenager in my parents eyes even though ive toured europe twice and moved out when i was 18!

The only downfall of getting older is im no longer daddy's little girl... i know hard to believe.. me all cute and innocent - but its true!

when i didnt have to pay my phone bill.. cus daddy was helping me out.
And there once was a time when daddy helped out with rent when i blew it on black jack and strippers...

The Dark night will go down as the male equivilant to Titanic -- its long and filled with so many teary moments! I will mos def recommend is as a great date flick. Or even if you want to have a bro down moment with your broman crush do it up..its awesome!!!

So its about 2pm and we are finally on our way home. Because my super awesome save you from yourself friends drove up here .. looks like i scored a ride.

Now there are a few essential things you need when you are road tripping back to toronto from montreal--- First thing is to stop at the nearest Dep and grab yourself snacks , plenty of water and a (preferably cold - w a twist cap) bottle of decent white french wine... if you cant get a french bottle , i say chillian is just as good. oh and ofcourse a huge bag of cheeba


Combined with what could only be described as the perfect play list for any gay man and an open sun roof and you have the best ROAD TRIP EVER!!!!!


Now for some much needed back seat air punch dance moves.... "do you really want me, or am i just another lover!!!!"

The funniest part about our play list is not too long after that song comes "hybrid moment" by misfits...yea. i know, weird.

Something also to consider is a map-- if you have my friends sense of direction.

We did manage to convince a very sweet and sort of cute english speaking french guy to let us follow him till we got to the highway.. which saved us lots of time.

note to self when ashing outside of the window of a moving car make sure you watch for the cherry.....those type of burns even coco butter wont heal.

So its 8 in the morning on sunday ...we played friday and i threw up all day satuday. Amazing!

Ive been laying low as of late so a crazy drunken night in montreal could only lead to me almost dying!

Fans friday night were beyond surprised and midly confused and concerned when their favorite alky walked on stage with a bottle of water. Yes thats right I Isis Salam ONLY drank WATER.
preformed sober too. which has NEVER HAPPENED! its either im sort of drunk.. or black out wake up with a piece of paper with the number 10 on your back drunk...
(apparently i signed up for a dance contest.. now im not sure if 10 was my number or my score.. i will go with the last one)

Pre show i was a wreck! Ive been looking for an apartment and its just been driving my nuts -- so yes i also projectile vomited before we went on...i wonder if anyone noticed..lol
and when my BFF's showed up to surprise me i almost went into a prom queen im so happy with vomit on my face cry routine...

lol just kidding there was no vomit on my face... that would severely handi cap my sexy.. and we just cant have that...but i almost did cry them remembered i had on makeup and we cant have that now can we...


Now i know what your thinking... you must have had an awful time. And this is partly true.. but someone up in those big clouds f*cking loves me
because after i got all that crap out of my stomach the night only got better.. and by better i mean CHRISTMAS GOOD!

Yours truly rewarded her sober performance with a bottle of wiskey and 3 huge and much deserved joints-- along with my amazing friends we went on to paint the city neon purple and when i thought it couldnt get any better

i get a text saying Grahm is beyond drunk... now i wont go into details you will just have to hope he blogs about it.. (for those of you who were at the show.. im sure you loved the Mac Power cord helicopter routine as much as i did lol)

but let me say this

never in a million years would i think my Grahm could get there... it was so beautiful ... i almost cried-- for once -- isis wasnt the one blacking out..

i think im really starting to get the hang of this adult thing... chapter 2 moderation COMPLETE!

now all i need to do is be able to keep a bf and not blow my rent money on strippers ad black jack... which they cover in chapters 4 thru 6 in "How to not be a complete piece of crap in your adult years"

oh and im also doing this for my liver which has decided to return and stay only if i stop abusing it... (only on weekends and during sever break-ups ... i made him put that in our contract)

so all in all minus the hellish hangover on saturday this weekend was amazing! i love love love Montreal and plan to take more trips up here just to hang.

Things in my little part of this trendy world are still the same. More sober time which is good if im ever going to get that puppy i've always wanted.
Im told they wont let you adopt if you are a raging alcoholic with an warped sense of reality. Like really .. so your telling me im NOT Oprah?

oH How ive missed montreal. The beautiful people and cheap cheese. Cheese in toronto is mafia expensive..*not cool at all when all you really want to make is a chicken fetecinni alfredo with a white wine reduction.

And so it begins after months of sitting in toronto unable to travel due to my fuck ups with my travel documents -- we are finally back in business and with a vengeance!!!!!

Thursday morning was like Christmas - tossing and turning waiting to find out if the cookies you left out for that fat white guy were eaten and if you got that pony you've always wanted even though you are clearly way to old for one now. Finally 8 am comes around and its time to start packing and getting shit together - 40 dollars and a cab later me and Grahm arrive at the airport, now you need to really understand the magnitude of this tour- we havnt been able to travel outside of the country for about 4 months, which means ive cost the band a shit load of money -- so seeing the smile on grahms face that morning really was priceless.. he was like a happy 5 year old with his first bike...lol

Equipped with a great travel playlist - the plane takes off and im just floating in the clouds..

We finally land in San Fran, 5 hours later --- a quick side note , why is it when you sit in the middle of any flight there is always an exceptionally large person either right next to you or directly infront of you... and as large as they are they still feel the need to take up more of my god dam space... this lady sitting in front of me managed to push her seat farther back than i think ive ever seen it go-- which really fucked with me while i was trying to watch "the golden compass".. which i though was a delightful film...ha

anyway--

San fran show was amazing.. i think 1500-1800 people RSVP'd for this event ...and unlike our previous shows and tours i decided to not get completely fucked before the show... which ive learned form our Lees Palace show is just a better idea. I think the fact that we've been off the road against our will for so long has really given me time to fall back in love with the whole live show part of the job. You may not be able to believe it but after a while it becomes just another stage , just another city , just another everything--

During the end of our set Grahm master flex drops Jerk it and i scream out " who wants to be on stage... come on anybody - fuck it everybody" yea ... sounded like a good idea at the time, till we had over 50 people on a small ass stage and the security guard was mean mugging grahm-- we do the full song and i have to fight off ass grabs from ladies and men, all while trying to remember the words and not fall off the stage-- someone get me a fucking gold sticker

IMMEDIATELY--- its harder than i make it look...lol

After our set ... Grahm and i decide to throw away all our inhibitions and get cold ass ill and straight retarded with our local friends in our dressing room... ok.. now i  need to really emphasize the level of retardation -- at a certain point after i was already half way mangled and slurring -- grahm decides its a great idea to trash the place -- YEA GRAHM THOUGHT OF IT-- TWIIIILLIIGGHHHTTT ZZZOOONNNEEEE!!!!  he starts throwing random pieces of furniture at me.. im swinging from bars ... we're wrestling... randoms are making it back stage.. chicks are looking theres shoes and their minds...the bathroom is a revolving door...afterparties are being planned....

we're all singing off key like "I WISH I NEVER MET HEERRRR ATTT ALLLLLLL!!!   Now it gets better order another round... out comes the tequila shots -- mixed with colt 45's --- and its just up hill from there... or was it down the stairs i fell.. id dont remember... something about being that out of control--- it really is like in the movies when they speed up everything in the background and just focus on the person --its all a blurr... i walked around the room said hi to hundreds of people.. watched a guy hold a cigarette in his pants zipper- trying to see if he could puff on it with his penis. Was hit on by several ladies and gents---and a really weird guy with gold frunts - who reminded me of bettle juice jones (the deformed black guy-google it) , he kept saying he was a rapper - thank god my girl grabbed me and saved me from being eaten by the gold tooth 1 eyed mutated wanna be rapper man...like really he was scary and shouldnt have been allowed in the building and i plan to write a formal letter to the venue.....lol



All this was going on backstage... so imagine what would have happened at the afterparties... but with my new found love for what it is i do.. i opted to not afterparty this round.. which was a great idea because hell theres 5 more shows after this one...and if this is any indication to what will go down.. i need to keep my liver from shutting down atleast till New York... cus when we hit NY and Philly these are like our hometowns from another mother... its going to be dangerously good.....

Back stage will be a combination of girls gone wild, and a motley crew home video...lol  sex, drugs and rock & rolll

its soo good to be back .... ohh yeaaa!!!

The last few days have been a whirlwind for me and Grahm master G flex (lol). You could say it started on Thursday night at MTV and ended on Monday morning around 4am for some of us, and later for others.

First i want to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH to all the people who helped make this weekends shows work and THANK YOU EVEN MORE to the FANS who shared this awesome weekend with us.

MTV was great -- you guys showed up and watched me get proposed to (if you missed it .. then you should just quit at life now-- cus its only downhill from here lol)

Friday night marked another record for us -- the place was 95 % SOLD OUT... SOLD OUT!!! You guys really came through with your love on that night, me and Grahms only regrets : we both didnt stage dive and crowd surf (if you didnt know there are differences -- one leads to the other , or atleast one would hope so) Bonjay and Vitamins for you set the stage for sheer awesomeness... it was like an over load of awesome , one person compared it to like having chocolate spread all over you then being massaged by super models... now i dont know about the chocolate but there were a lot of babes that showed up...

ohh all the pretty people!

Im sure everyone went home happy :)

DJ Caff really came through as the dj who could some how seem every single band and mood together without the crowd loosing a beat-- the place was so hot at one point the owner came back stage because she thought we were smoking... when actually it was so bumping the floor was releasing hot sweat!!

As a bonus we had one of the illest dance crews come out and just bring the whole set to life..... pretty much if you were a white guy with bad rhythm watching them kept you on beat... lol
smooth and on point these ladies honestly took our show to the next level of just .....just... BRAT PITDOM.... im sorry i couldn't think of any other words that could describe the type of awesomeness i was experiencing...

We show cased a slew of new songs and you guys loved it .. thank you -- just a reminder we are on the right track

Shirts went flying off the shelves so be expecting new shirts soon with new logos and prints... ohh snap!


I pretty much refused to leave my house on sat , because after the party was the afterparty and after was my home girls hotel lobby -- true story

Most people didnt get home till the light was out... It was like on that night all of toronto was up and shaking what their mothers gave them.



again if you missed friday night .. then i really suggest you seek some help for post traumatic stress disorder because you are about to start feeling it.



Sunday night in montreal wasnt any less awesome.. our montreal fans came out in droves.. posted in the club... a bottle full of bub - we pretty much all fell in love

Well it helped that there was a free beer keg on the dance floor..we danced till 3 am and then i led the crowd in a HAPPY BIRTHDAY sing along for every ones favorite dj and friend DJ Grahmzilla-- you should have seen him

his eyes got all shiny -- it was like bambi - it for sure made his night-- and mine

A perfect end to what has been a perfect weekend!


To all of you who shared in all this greatness with us - once again thank you it was a blast and im sure this is only the beginning to way more BratPitDom -- haha

So me and my friends Azuree decided to pull out the bikes on Today... why-- BECAUSE DAMMIT! Im so tired of waiting for winter to get the hint and stop calling me, lose my number and get your shit out my apartment!
Once i finally got Black Thunder (my bike) down my apartment stairs and into the warm beautiful hint of spring summer sun - it was ON. Black thunder and Blue Steel (Azuree's bike) hit the dark Grey pavement like two super heroes coming to save the people of krypton. With the wind blowing through our hair (ok this is starting to sound a little too good, i should prob add i umm you know had a talk with the green giant lol).

Time to condure up some magical spell to bring back summer -- summer dresses, summer park hangs summer flings and especially summer patio beers. To top off the refreshing bike ride down queen street west , past barthurst and remnants of the building we used to after party at before it burned down-- we sat down for tex mex and beer, window seat...just to add to this mirage

Now this right here really has me thinking i could run out side in my bikini - but for the sake of my criminal record -- ill wait till august


Now for those of you who live in Toronto here are some things you definably need to look out for during the way too short summer break



First in the Summer it is imperative that you find a proper watering hole -- here are some of the best Queen west Patios (yea yea i know -- im such a slave to trend.. more like im a slave to really hot guys who also hang out here ..lol)

Another great thing to do (not that i am condoning illegal swimming) is sneaking into swimming pools on those super hot nights... its a great way to also meet really good looking people... cus we all know -- if you know your HOT you are all about showing it



5. Something i think is really under rated... simply being able to RIDE YOUR BIKE / TAKING WALKS

Something us Queen west kids just love doing... you would be surprised to see how many really good looking people find them selves walking/ riding around





ohhhh summer... where are you.. i can feel you but you just arnt here yet

but i know summer is coming and when it finally gets here -- i recommend you par-take in these great summer activities... bc i dam well know i will

Hello Everybody!!! Last week we played Hamilton and Montreal -- and this is how it went


Hamilton-- Grahm drove with his wifey May -- i spent the hour drive trying not to pass out from a heavy dinner. We arrive in Hammer town 1.5 hours later due to traffic and its pretty much a ghost town, like we expected. So what does isis do-- walk across the street buy a pack of Djarum smokes and then begin to knock back shots of FREE tequila.. yea it was free what did you expect me to do.. why your at it why dont you go tease some crack heads with crack on a rope... PEOPLE HAVE NO SHAME! lol

Anyway-- Our Hamilton town super fan Adam shows up with two pretty ladies and his boy Bryan , which means now i start drinking beer and double gin and tonins and double vodka waters, Bryan has to leave due to the possibility someone slipped something in his drink..so super fan adam had to miss the show

WELL ADAM...

This is how the show went-- A drunk isis got on stage and pretty much fucked up every song...and was very surprised she managed to even stay on stage.. you could say i was doing my best Amy whinehouse for the people of Hammer Town. GOD!!!

After a bunch of angry stares and looks of disappointment from Grahm, the set was FINALLY over and i threw the mic down and went out for a smoke in 2 degree weather with no coat..this is how drunk and mad at my self i was--


But----- For The montreal show.. isis learned her lesson , after what felt like the longest fucking train ride in my life.. i decided to pace myself.. yes PASE MYSELF!! i had 2 beers and a shot of tequila before i got on stage.. was not really tipsy ..so i had another shot still not very tipsy but decided to hold off and getting trailer park trashed till the end of the set

The show was fucking AMAZING!! We have some of the best and coolest and really honestly best looking fans in Montreal-- something about men in montreal, just makes me want to sell all my stuff and learn french and hand out at universities... mmmmmmm college boys :)

But anyway-- a few cheerleaders who used our song in there routine a while back showed up and got on stage during Suenos Dulches and did a little routine for us..supppeer cute and EVERYONE knew ALL of the words to pretty much ALL of our songs expect for the new ones.. IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!

It reminded me-- that sometimes its best to get on stage sorta kinda typsy insted of shit face.. cus you miss all the pretty faces in the crowd and im just not as on point -- and thats me being honest.

So that was my weekend...


Next weekend should be pretty interesting


My boys from Lets go to War (www.myspace.com/letsgotowarmusic) will be paying at the new over the top club called CIRCA.... now besides these guys just being huge amounts of fun... esp PJ... I already plan to stay home all week just so i dont die on friday night

Ive had killer nights and mornings with pj.... we've crashed parties, accidentally started some, and seen some CRAZY afterparty action... so i can only imagine how this night will go

I have an idea though.. i know for sure it will involve a bottle of something premium... followed by weed, girls, boys, pillow fights... and eventually me loosing him to some model in a cab

ITS GONNA BE AWESOME.....

They are a pretty talented bunch.. those boys.. check out there video.. its pretty much a typical night for us.. downtoww toronto on Queen street at someones above store apartment....and this is what i consider a more easy night--you should see when we really go off!

 This is my current Facebook status...

Now its not that im bored or complaining -- ive just realized how much crazy ideas ive actually acted out through out my life. Im a very strong believer in do what feels good cus your young and you still can!

Now this excludes Heroin, killing your 3rd grade teacher, punching a cop, stealing your best friends boyfriend, or punching pregnant ladies!

None of those things iver ever thought of doing, but im told some people find great pleasure in such activities.

But anyway-- the last few months ive been taking it pretty easy , being a full time musician means i have a shit load of spare time

Some musicians spend this spare time rehersing , or buying new instruments to play with  - i spent it learning every bar tenders  and bouncers first name and rubing shoulders with bar owners so i could drink for free--

But now i know everyone -- and i've drank at every bar-- ive been kicked out of metal shows, karaoke, and crashed birthday parties - I DONT EVEN LIKE METAL!

Ive thrown snowballs  at random strangers, screamed profanities at the homeless-- helped pull down a tree with skaters from New York, snuck in the back door...and fallen off stage while trying to give a high 5! no one really saw this.. but if im going to be honest i might as well throw that one in there-- i blame it on MSTRKRFT they always get me too drunk!- 

I guess im just bored now.

Toronto is only so big... but ive partied EVERYWHERE!  LA,MTL, NY, EVEN TEXAS!!  So now what?  (side note -- i soo wanna party in Japan and Brazil NO LAST CALL!!!!)

I stay in and drink red wine and watch law and order-- i can only do that for so long , soon i will be bored with Law and Order -- THEN WHAT!!!  Not much left after that-- cus Without a trace is on in the afternoon... what will i do with my evenings...

Dont get me wrong-- Im not saying i sit at home and do jack shit all day-- i have set periods of the day that i set a side for "jack shit" the only real difference between me and someone with a "real job" is my jack shit includes smoking weed and watching tv for more than 15 minutes...

Most of my day is spent writing new songs, going over old songs, replying to myspace friend request -- yes i actually respond personally to every single myspace freind request- and sometimes its like 4-8 pages of request!!!  There also is a lot of paper work for border crossing shit that i have to deal with

along with my own banking and maintaining of my apt -- so again its not like  i have all the time in the world.. i just have 8 hours a night that needs to be filled...

I guess what im saying is i would like to see more put into entertaining people.. like come on

after a long day of work -- regardless of what you do-- if you spend all the time getting ready and then get to a club/bar and its the same people, same shit-- it starts to feel like your at work all over again-- its just you get to get shit faced...

I challenge all party throwers and bar owners to get a bit more creative with their nights-- like i wanna see more costume parties-- ya i would sooo fuck with that

As a matter of fact in sweden theres a night like that-- i also want bubbles, and streamers and party hats

like come on -- if your going out to have a good time .. its should be a full out experience -- maybe this would lead to less mmda and coke usage -- people would be stimulated naturally

i dont know

im just ranting.. but its just a thought..

Friday Night lights and me and my friends have decided to go for Karaoke at this spot called The Gladstone Hotel-- unknowingly .. this was the beginning of many bad ideas that Isis would later have.

I started pre-drinking around 9pm; well 8 if you count the 2 beers in the shower. Anyway 2 whiskey shots later…I opted for the second double with no ice…and a quick game of Oblivion on x-box 360 (what you think I was born cool, hell im still cool by default!)

By the time the rest of the boys showed up and we had another couple of beers we all decide to stumble our way towards the Gladstone—

After flipping the bird to unsuspected on lookers and watching Adam pushing Derek on a random office chair sitting all by its lonesome on the side of the road—don’t ask

After all that bullshit – we arrived at the Gladstone, where I was attacked with hugs by my girlfriends and immediately signed on to sing with my girl Azuree "Say my Name" By destiny Childs..

This was wayyy before I realized I really didn’t know the words nor did I really like that song enough to sing it with enough passion to convince the karaoke dj that I was worthy of his stage.

We continued to drink..

My good friend from Shark Vs Bear showed up ..and we continued to drink and fall on the floor and sing along with the randoms on stage

I went out for a smoke ..and drank some more

By the time I completely forgot where I was was

"And now Isis and Azuree singing Say My name by destiny child"- said the eager Karaoke Dj Man

OH SHIT!!! Said isis

I somehow found my way to the stage and it was pretty much downhill from there

I really don’t know what was worse :

a) along with the fact that I didn’t know the fucking words…I also was to drunk to READ THEM—on top of that im already near sighted!!!

b) Then a group of guys started to boo us… YES I WAS GETTING BOO'd!

I'VE NEVER!

So going with my basic rapper instincts I begin to spew idle threats – ima kick yo ass followed by  "I know where you live maw fuka"

Then to add on to that—I grab the guy from the crowd pull him on stage—then the mic cord gets pulled out and I throw him back into the crowd..

Then after all of that – AFTER ALLL OF THAT!!

I – yes I muther fucking isis end the set with

Fuck this—and throw the mic in the guys face

Hahahahahaha— YEA TRUE FUCKING STORY!!!
Hahahahahahahahaha – I cant believe I did that ..but I have atleast 100 people who saw me do this

After that I was kicked out—they said I disrespected the venue
And I was like fuck yo venue – they should have never given you mutha fukas money!!!

What am I gonna do about my legs!!!

Lol I wish—I left and went next door and pounded another 3 beers and passed out.

So the clock is ticking....oh its ticking


all the men on the planet are running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to find the perfect gift. But you know what this is my first valentines where i actually have something to look forward to. Every year ive always managed to break up with a guy before or meet one right after-- but its looking like this year Isis gone get some lovin!! HURRAY!!

But its got me thinking -- what the hell does a girl get a guy besides the obvious chocolate covered you--- I think girls need to start stepping up their valentines gift game, like
come on..these guys go to the ends of the earth to get you diamonds, expensive dinners, front row tickets and the traditional bundle of sweet smelling flowers!

and all we give them is a hand job...come on...

In most cases your already boning the guy anyway-- so how is it special from any other day ...unless you throw in some flying machine and nose dive into his lap ...lol

So for this valentines while i try to figure out what im going to get my hubby -- i challenge the rest of you ladies with mates to step it up this year...

Actually spend some time thinking about it--

I know i never come off like the romantic type...but you know under this hard rock star exterior ...all i really want is a hug and some flowers...

Here is a song my home girl from philly Suzi Analog just sent me...i think this is the best Valentines song ever-- a remake of Dudley Perkins song "Flowers"

So dont be played out and get your man some flowers!!!
