There's a lot of people who dont give what they call "underground" hip hop its true dues.

And by true i mean...  ill be frank you with .. most back packer underground too many syllables and misplaced metaphors are over done, beats are outdated and im just tired of it all. Im more tired of the bitter jerks that ask me ridiculous questions like "so when are you going to start rapping again..like you know real rap"?  It takes everything in me to not reply with "when are you going to actually put out a song people outside of your 3 block home town radius are actually going to buy..when are you going to stop working at kinkos with a degree you cant do jack shit with and making what you think "dilla" would make sounding beats, in your parents basement?

OK ok ... im going to stop there

The point is .. there is a lots of great music out there.  The problem is when you dont rap about mainly bling , hoes , drugs and how much more you daddy could kick my daddys ass-- you tend to get stuck in the "underground / conscious" hip hop category

(unless you make some secret pact with the illuminati like Common and GET PAID!!! 5 or 6 or 10 albums later)


Now let this be a lesson to all you guys / gals who love hip hop and want to make music that isn't as close to the norm as most people would like.

Meet my friend SHAD.

SHAD should be the poster boy for what Lupe tried to do but then was confronted with the simple fact that money comes with demons and if you cant keep your demons in their respective closets .. you'll turn into Kanye West ..or worse yet run out of clever ways to insult the very same destructive machine you benefit from.

Dont get me wrong but i think if you are looking for a saviour for hip hop..
you will probably run into several Big Foots and a couple of Trolls before you find that guy/girl.
